Be Empty my friend
“The thirty spokes unite in the one nave, but it is on the empty space that the use of the wheel depends. Clay is fashioned into vessels; but it is on their empty hollowness, that their use depends.“
Lao Tzu profoundly speaks about the significance of Emptiness in our lives.
Often in life Emptiness is described as a negative term. We prefer filling ourselves in all the possible ways in our life. We are under the incredible quest for more and more… And so the end is nowhere near to us. But on the hindsight, Emptiness does have a lot to say in our lives.
For instance, a glass of water only becomes significant to us not because of its vibrant shapes, styles and designs it is carved with but for the space within itself that it holds. Its emptiness is what makes the glass utterly useful to us in the first place.
It is the Emptiness where the water can find its right place to fill.
The profoundness of Emptiness even rings enormous importance in our lives. Our brains portray to us with limited perceptions it’s capable to perceive. Whereas, emptiness sees the whole of life. It sustains the very life forces within us.
It is the Emptiness where we become free and liberated from within.
And so does the world comes to life in the Realm of the Emptiness. As the fullness can never exist in the absence of the Emptiness which sustains it.
So, therefore, I say to you, “Be empty from within, be empty from within. Because in the emptiness is the whole of life”.
