What made Steve “Think Different”?

“I want to put a ding in the universe…”

Steven Paul Jobs was a man who dared to be a dreamer, a man who changed the world forever. Jobs is well- known for pushing his products to the brink, harder and tougher than anyone else could ever imagine.

He had this unfathomable benchmark within him, the result is what we all can see – A State of an art Apple products. Was he a tech guy or a computing genius? He was neither of those.

He was but a True Visionary. He had insights that very few people had. He travelled places very few dared to ever travel. But where did it come from? How did an “abandoned child” gave the world with products that revolutionised the tech industry forever? What made Steve Jobs think different?

He knew the secrets

“Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you…”

He realised something deep down early on in his life. He always saw something beyond logic. Steve had his version of reality in life. A reality that made his products set apart.

So say “yes” to something you know is right for you instead of the ego yelling “no” at it.

He tapped into the inner source

“Make me a monk, Please make me a monk…”

Steve Jobs insisted his Spiritual Master Kobun Chino Otogawa to make him a monk. He instead told Steve to imbibe zen in his products and so he did. He went on to put “Life” to his products. He made Apple with such precision that even the minute of detailing was carved with beauty and excellence.

So, scream out your reality and tap into the infinite inner source of energy within you.

He had it anyway

“I am not gonna leave until you hire me…”

Steve (in his earlier days before starting Apple) demanded to be hired by Atari, a gaming company. Steve was ruthless and driven in his approach to life. He even gave his employees a hard time perfecting the apple products. He went on to every extent in making things work for him. He wanted it anyway.

Can you go out to that extent in achieving your dreams and ambitions in life?

He had this Reality Distortion Field

“Steve has a reality distortion field.” When Hertzfeld looked puzzled, Tribble elaborated. “In his presence, the reality is malleable. He can convince anyone of practically anything…”

This was mentioned by Walter Isaacson in his book “Steve Jobs”. Steve always moulded the reality in his own terms. He was well known to bend reality pushing for the impossible and making it possible. He knew his products. He knew what he was up-to.

As Jobs discovered for himself, what’s your reality distortion field?

We too have the power to build our reality, churn out our secrets in life because we are all are unique in our ways.

All we need is to “Think Different”.
